「ヴァナフェス2010」詳報。FFXIの新アドオン，レベル

会場となったのは日本青年館大ホール。今回のイベントは招待制＆無料で，当選者に選ばれたラッキーなFFXIファンは計1114名

　スクウェア?エニックスは2月28日，「ファイナルファンタジーXI」（以下，FFXI）のプレイヤーを対象としたオフラインイベント「ヴァナ★フェス2010 ?8周年だョ！全員集合」を，東京都の日本青年館にて開催した。

　会場では，今後のFFXIにおけるさまざまなアップデート計画や新アドオン，そしてFFシリーズのMMOとしては後継作にあたる「ファイナルファンタジーXIV」（PC/PlayStation 3）の最新情報など，見逃せない情報が次から次へと公開された。

　4Gamerではイベント開始直後に速報記事を掲載しており，またFFXI公式サイトでは充実したレポートも掲載されている。本稿では，これらの記事ではカバーしきれていない情報を中心にお伝えしていこう。

今回のイベントでは「8時だョ！全員集合」からのネタが満載。掛け声は当然「おぃーっす！」で，ステージが切り替わるときは間奏曲と共に床がぐるりと回る。金タライは落ちて来なかったが，田中プロデューサーが随所でいかりや長介さんのモノマネをしていたのが個人的にツボ





「アルタナの神兵」はいよいよクライマックスへ


“バトルエリアを拡張する”アドオン3作も登場









　2007年11月のリリース以来長らく続いてきた「アルタナの神兵」のストーリーだが，今後数回の大規模アップデートを経て，いよいよクライマックスへと向かう。次回の大規模アップデートでは，ミッションを通じて，水晶大戦の最終決戦地として知られる“ズヴァール城”へと到達。ここを舞台としたカンパニエバトルも発生するようになる。そして，次々回のアップ
デートでは，ついにアルタナミッションが完結することが発表された。



　同様に，アルタナミッションと並行して過去世界で繰り広げられてきた“3国クエスト”に関しても，次々回の大規模アップデートで完結することが明らかになった。アルタナミッションをクリアした人には，（これまでのほかのミッションと同様）アクセサリー類の報酬アイテム，そして3国クエストのクリア時には記念品的なアイテムが用意されているとのこと。アル
タナ関連のミッションはこれをもって，一つの区切りを迎えることになりそうだ。














過去世界のズヴァール城へと足を踏み入れ，アルタナストーリーはクライマックスへ（画像左下）。現代世界のサンドリアも登場するようだ（画像右下）








ズヴァールの主といえば，ご存知“闇の王”。カンパニエバトルに乱入することがあるのだろうか？

闇の王にちなんだ装備群も追加される。“オーディン”が所持していたヴァルハラシリーズを彷彿とさせる
